You also get support for up to two extra displays with the new iMac Pro, just as you have with the original Apple computer.

Chief among those announcements is an update to its Metal graphics tech that is set to ship alongside its upcoming MacOS update, High Sierra. On the notebook side of things, MacBooks will get Intel Kaby Lake processors and faster SSDs. All the 27-inch models now come with a Fusion Drive as standard, as does the top-end 21.5-inch version.

The iMac Pro will be the world's fastest Mac (and the most powerful).

As is the norm for the iMac line, the displays really stand out.

For starters, the new iMac displays are 500 nits brighter than the previous generation and can support up to 1 billion colours. The final export on the old iMac actually took a little bit over three minutes.

"The latest iMacs start at $1,099 for the 21.5" models and$1,799 for the 27" models.

The more interesting move here, however, is that the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar now offers Radeon discrete graphics in both its iterations, a shift from last year's model. The MacBook Air isn't being left behind either; it's getting a more powerful 1.8GHz processor to keep pace with other slim laptops on the market.

Reports earlier this year claimed that Apple would break the current 16GB barrier for MacBook Pro memory, allowing the 32GB (or more) that some RAM-craving professionals demand.

You can buy a new MacBook Pro directly from Apple online. The 13-inch MacBook Pro (sans TouchBar) with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM is priced at Rs 1,09,900. Rest assured that your photos, movies and special moments are effortlessly shared on your favorite social platform or backed up to the cloud, no matter how many megabytes or megapixels you need to push over the Verizon network.

Alongside the Mac hardware upgrades, Apple also is discussing software updates to both at its conference this week.

Microsoft, however, has also bet big on other features of the Surface Pen, so its own stylus now features 4096 pressure sensitive levels.

HomePod: An audio speaker to compete with Google's Home and Amazon's Echo, Apple's new device is powered by digital assistant Siri and can accomplish numerous things the others can do. And of course, you don't have to drop $5,000 to get these accessories - they might show up on sites like eBay at some point, but don't expect them to be easy to find, or cheap to obtain. ProMotion also improves display quality and reduces power consumption by automatically adjusting the display refresh rate to match the movement of the content. Besides, Apple has even embedded the solid state drive in the new MacBook Pro models for providing faster approach. It offers faster performance and better security with crash protection and built-in encryption. The new processor models are highly efficient.
