OnePlus CEO hints at universal flash storage in OnePlus 5
The OnePlus 5 will be out on June 20 in other regions while India will have it a couple of days after.
Operating system: According to what we know now, both the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 3T have Android 7.1.1 based Oxygen ROM. Pete Lau, founder and CEO of OnePlus, has also teased the dual-lens capabilities of the OnePlus 5camera. In a twitter post, Blass wrote, "OnePlus 5 powered by 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM will release on 22 June 2017 as an exclusive at Amazon.in".
While Oneplus 5 is promising something better, the official OnePlus 5 camera specs include a 16MP main Sony rear camera with a f/1.7 aperture lens. One model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and another with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
And it looks like it will not be the same design but the cameras used will also be the same. Since India was playing in the finals, OnePlus rightly picked the event to catch the most attention. If you are looking for an affordable flagship device this year, OnePlus 5 ticks all the boxes right. In the front, there is a Home Button seen at the bottom of the display, and this is where the fingerprint scanner will presumably be placed. However, it is recommended that these are just the leaks and nothing is confirmed till the company officially launched the OnePlus 5 at its event.
That the OnePlus 5 looks a lot like that device is not an accident; both OnePlus and Oppo are owned by the same company: BBK Electronics. Similar to how Apple'siPhone 7 Plus operates, the OnePlus 5'sdual rear cameras will be capable of shooting natural bokeh images with a subject front and center, while the cameras will also offer lossless pinch-to-zoom. Even though these company teasers have not shed a light on the internals of the phone, leaked benchmarks and rumors have given us basically everything we need to know.
The phone will likely be coming in four colors as colors not being confirmed by the company yet. While Evleaks on Twitter has leaked the official press render of the phone, TheVerge has put up an entire story of how the OnePlus 5 was made, leaking out nearly every detail, and the specs of the cameras in particular.
Rumours also suggest that the OnePlus 5 will be sporting a whopping 4,000mAh battery, which should provide a fairly sizeable battery life.
