Norbord Reports Fire Near 100 Mile House, British Columbia Mill

And in Nevada, fire officials have ordered evacuations for a wildfire that is near the same area where another blaze has already burned for days.

Cal Fire said fire crews' activity has reduced significantly as firefighters continued to improve fire line.

Most of those evacuations remain in effect, though Wilsey and some others have been allowed to return home.

Hallihan spent two weeks battling the fires around Fort McMurray and she said she is prepared for what she will face in British Columbia.

Across the border in Canada, crews contended with more than 200 wildfires in British Columbia that have forced thousands to flee and destroyed dozens of buildings, including several homes and two airport hangars.

Darron Campbell with the Cariboo Regional District said there was less nasty weather than expected, but potentially troublesome winds are forecast to hit the area this weekend as a cold front rolls in. "The current wildfire crisis, one of the worst fire seasons in recent history, is another example of how we can come together to support the well-being of others".

On Tuesday, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed that at least 10 people have been arrested in connection with looting in 100 Mile House and Williams Lake.

The Ashcroft-Cache Creek fire is estimated to be 10, 304 hectares and the Princeton fire is estimated to be 2,700 hectares. Numerous same residents had also been forced to flee the possibility of spring flooding.

The biggest evacuation was in Northern California's Butte County due to the so-called Wall Fire, which began on Friday and has displaced about 4,000 people, officials said. Major winter downpours that pulled the state out of years of drought also brought a layer of grass that early-summer fires are greedily feeding on. I've worked hard to get here in life.

The scorching weather comes after California's prolonged drought emergency was declared officially over in April.

A wildfire burning in near Summer Lake in south-central OR has destroyed a hunting cabin and an outbuilding.

The company's mills near active fires "have staff and resources that are being deployed to protect our facilities and the community", the statement said.

The Parkfield Fire that started Saturday night near San Miguel and the Stone Fire that was sparked Sunday near Santa Margarita were both fully contained Tuesday.

More than 14,000 people have been evacuated in the Pacific Coast province, according to broadcaster CBC.

Turner says the province's priority is public safety and he encourages people to heed evacuation orders when they are issued.
