Beckham Leaves Game After Vicious Hit to Knee

Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. Leaves Game Against Browns After Taking Scary Hit to Ankle

He played in 13 regular-season games with one start, and caught seven passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

McAdoo didn't elaborate if Beckham sustained a high or low ankle sprain on a hit by Cleveland defensive back Briean Boddy-Calhoun during a 10-6 loss to the Browns in a preseason game on Monday night.

Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said that the wide receiver had undergone an MRI, but wouldn't say more than Beckham Jr. will be evaluated day by day and that the team would see how he responds to treatment. If he suffers a setback, the September 10 game in Arlington, TX could be in jeopardy.

If New York fails to make the playoffs this season, it could be the past year fans see OBJ playing in a Giants uniform.

Will he get a deal done with the New York Giants before the regular season begins? What's done is done, and logic suggests Beckham won't play another preseason snap this summer. Head coach Bob McAdoo told the media that the injury that his star wide receiver had suffered was not as severe as it had looked. However, it is unclear whether that was a low or high-ankle sprain.

Brandon Marshall, the Giants big free agent addition, did not come out of the locker room after half time since he apparently injured his shoulder at some point in the first half. He's likely to miss the Giants' final two preseason games.

Odell Beckham Jr.is now the 65th highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, and the 631st (!) highest-paid player in the league according to Spotrac. We know they can't run the ball, but they went 11-5 previous year without running the ball so that might not matter.

"I know what Odell brings to the table", McAdoo said.

"If I'm an owner and I see one of my family members - players - hurting, I'd do whatever I can to make sure that my family is OK".

"That's not the America that I want to live in", he said.
