Most notable for small business users is the massive size of the new Galaxy Note 8. Simply hover the S Pen nib over a word on screen and, using Google's translate technology, you'll see the translation hovering above the word.

In my opinion, Canadians get the better end of this deal: whereas the Galaxy S8's version of Orchid Grey is a little purple, and quite desirable, the Note 8 version is muted and more, well, grey. The phone is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. Leaked renders have revealed that the LED flash unit will be sit between the dual rear cameras and the fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy Note series is known for a big display so it's no surprise that the Note 8 continues that trend.

Samsung will be announcing Galaxy Note 8 today at an event that is to happen in NY at 11am EDT, which is sometime around 8:30PM tonight.

The company describes the edge-to-edge screen as an "infinity display". Samsung has also confirmed that this successor of the Note 7 will be the first phone by the company to come with dual cameras at the back. As far as the front camera is concerned, the device may get an 8MP shooter with aperture f/1.7. It also comes with 64GB of internal storage, just like the Note 7 and one model of the Note 5 - which also came in a 32GB and 128GB variant. Plus, it has a 3300mAh battery and wireless charging capabilities. The smartphone also comes with USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. A 6 GB RAM with 64 GB built in memory, expandable to 256 GB on microSD is the overall memory capacity of this device. Battery capacity of the S8 is 3000mAh, while the S8+ has a 3500mAh battery. Although the Galaxy Note 8 is getting launched today, it still leaves us with a lot of time for the next Galaxy release and hence it is too soon to start speculating about them. The Note 8 has a 3,300mAh battery, in contrast to the Note 7's 3,500mAh.
