Although the success of this past spring's Galaxy S8 phone suggests that Samsung has recovered from the Note 7 debacle, which included bans and warnings on airline flights, any further mistakes could prove fatal. Last month, the phone also received a price cut of Rs. 4,000, now it has received a price cut of Rs. 5,000. Carriers offer it for varying prices with T-Mobile at $930, AT&T at $950, and both Sprint and Verizon at $960.

At first glance, the Galaxy Note 8 may look like a bigger Galaxy S8, but there is a lot more to this phone than that. And with clever software tweaks that boost productivity, Samsung's first dual cameras, an upgraded S Pen and the reassurance that it's undergone enhanced battery checks, it's clear the Note 8 aims to restore confidence in the sullied Note brand.

The new Gear VR version, which will be a bit wider to accommodate the chassis of the Galaxy Note 8, will still cost $129.99. Including why we think it's worth waiting for, and what features you'll absolutely love.

On Wednesday, the South Korean electronics giant introduced the Galaxy Note 8, its latest flagship Note device and the successor to last year's ill-fated and combustible Galaxy Note 7. The Note 8 is expected to launch in India by September 2nd week with the price tag of INR 75,000 or above. However, because of a few problems and two recalls due to faulty batteries, Samsung pulled it off shelves.

"Samsung is likely to focus more on recovering the sustainability of the Note product lineup rather than on expanding sales", said Noh Keun-chang, an analyst from HMC Investment Securities.

In an effort to reassure customers who may have lost trust in devices because of the Note 7 fiasco, said it worked with Underwriters Laboratories, a safety certification firm, to validate the Note 8's reliability. As with every Note release, Samsung includes its signature S Pen, and this year's version of the pen features a finer tip and improved pressure sensibility. Some Note 7 features have been retained so you know it is ready for more serious note-taking, capturing memories, and media experience. But the release date for India is still not announced.

Following a series of leaks and teases, the tech titan officially revealed the Galaxy Note 8 this week, boasting a bigger display and its "best-ever" smartphone camera. On Flipkart, the phone comes bundled with a Reliance Jio double data benefit offering 28GB+28GB at Rs 309.

The battery in S8+ is slightly larger while the screen size is smaller. The Note 8 is no exception with the aforementioned 6.4-inch screen. Make the right choices, though, and you can be pocketing not only the Note 8 but a bunch of free accessories and more. On one hand, it's got the great curved display on the front, including the almost bezel-less top and bottom.

The Note 8's display is a 2960 x 1440 Quad-HD+ SuperAMOLED Display with curved edges just like the Galaxy S8. The battery power is a little disappointing since the screen is massive and the processor is powerful, but it should keep things running for a good amount of time.
