It has been a truly awful start to the new English Premier League campaign for Crystal Palace.

Palace were beaten 1-0 by Southampton at Selhurst Park in Hodgson's first match in charge, as they became the first club in top-flight history to lose their opening five games without scoring.

He now has the highest proportion of goals to minutes in Premier League history and looks likely to not lose that record any time soon. However, Danny Welbeck's latest injury may have forced the manager's hand and against a West Brom defence that started the season well but capitulated against Brighton last week, a fired-up Sanchez could mean goals at the Emirates.

Up next for Palace are the other division's other high-fliers Manchester United and Chelsea.

Chelsea opened the scoring inside just 90 seconds with Cesar Azpilicueta playing a ball over the top to Morata, who raced in on goal and slotted home. Everybody is going to play. "I showed to my players all the chances they created in just two games".

Crystal Palace are the only side in the big five European leagues yet to score this season. "The second half immediately the team was ready".

He provided excellent crosses for Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero to score.

Sterling added two more after the break, Aguero headed in the fourth to move him to within one of club record goal scorer Eric Brook before substitute Fabian Delph wrapped up the win with a stunning fifth. He's a top person and manager and helped me with the national team.

"I know Shakhtar very well".

"When we get into positions we are making more of the right decisions".

"I spoke to Roy Hodgson afterwards and wished him well".

With five minutes to half-time, the home crowd were restless - both with their own side's occasional (and uncharacteristically) loose passing and Hennessey taking an age with every goal kick.

That perhaps affected him when he tried to take on one man too many during a second-half run and before the break he opted to go for goal and fired into a defender when an overlapping team-mate may have been a wiser option.

Although Manchester City (-300) is heavily favored away at fellow unbeaten Watford (+800, +425 draw), it is dragging a negative trend into Vicarage Road.

Predicted Manchester City XI: Ederson, Stones, Kompany, Otamendi, Walker, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, D. Silva, Mendy, Aguero, Jesus.

"Recognition in the media and prizes are OK for 10 minutes and then after that they disappear".
