New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles - 9/24/17 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Chance Warmack seems headed for Philadelphia Eagles' lineup on Sunday

That's what happened on this day - and it was basically by design.

The record was previously held by Anquan Boldin - a recently retired receiver who began his career with more than 100 receptions in two of his first three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. And it worked to near-perfection. In the injury-depleted Eagles secondary, Douglas earned the start in his second career game and the assignment of unsafe Giants veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Well, everything except the touchdowns.

And still the Eagles won.

Rookie kicker Jake Elliott stunned the entire stadium at Lincoln Financial Field when he bombed an Eagles' franchise-record 61-yard field goal as time expired to give the Eagles a wild 27-24 victory.

But, make no mistake about it, this game was not a situation that Wentz has thrived in in the past.

Beckham's game is predicated on freakish athleticism, but he's also got a whole lot of raw emotion and mental immaturity to his game as well. A healthy Beckham is the Giants' best (only?) chance to win games this year, which is the best kind of leverage to have in contract negotiations.

The Eagles took possession with 13 seconds left in the game, tied at 24, and Carson Wentz threw an incomplete pass before finding Alshon Jeffrey at the Giants' 40-yard line.

The Giants cut the lead in half at 14-7 after Beckham Jr. hauled in a 10-yard reception from Manning with 12:39 remaining in regulation. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie stood with his players before the game. He said he's practiced it before, so I'm like [GREAT]. "It always goes back to practice".

Eli Manning was able to connect with Beckham at will on short passes, primarily slant routes. Kendricks deflected a pass intended for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Robinson took care of the rest, snatching the ball away at the NY 46.

Elliott's parents, who were watching from the opposite end zone, were overjoyed and in tears following the made field goal.

"Overall, I think the guys in the back end stepped up", defensive end Brandon Graham said.

The fourth-down play turned into a nightmare as Orleans Darkwa took a handoff and got stuffed by a crowd of Eagles before he could even get back to the line of scrimmage. What are we supposed to do, stop playing at Week 4? "When there are too many penalties, it makes it tough to win that way".

Thumbs up or down on Doug Pederson's coaching decisions in the Giants game?

"To fight until the end, have that comeback, put that drive together and kick that game-winning field goal, that was huge for us". "We were always in those tight ones and didn't finish. The consequences are going to be what they are". "We are proud of our players, the vast majority of whom use their National Football League platform to make a positive difference in our society".
