Microsoft adds new Microsoft 365 versions, plus security and management features

A full stackWith Mundie's backing, Freedman set up a lab in Santa Barbara, California, and began recruiting some of the world's pre-eminent condensed-matter and theoretical physicists, materials scientists, mathematicians and computer scientists to work on building the topological qubit.

"A quantum computer is able to model nature", said Krysta Svore, who has led development of Microsoft software created to work on quantum computers, as well as the quantum simulators that allow development to proceed even while the first machines are being built.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced a host of new software, device, and security options at the Microsoft Ignite conference in Orlando on Monday.

All of these software tools will be available by the end of the year.

Integrating the LinkedIn Graph with the Microsoft 365 Graph gives companies a more "modern workplace", Nadella said. Powered by Office 365 F1, these devices are intended for first line workers.

The result should help teachers and students "harness the power of the Microsoft toolset" more easily, Salcito said, thanks to improved accessibility, communication, collaboration, management and safety features.

While AI was a topic of future innovation at last year's conference, Nadella outlined potential use cases of adding intelligence to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, which, while not a new Microsoft product, will bring some AI functionality to the existing CRM system. The company is terming it as the new "Enterprise plan" that is created to target the "firstline worker', also known as the management level of organisations".

For the Redmond-based company, Microsoft 365 is what they want every client to use as they feel it offers the best package of security and productivity across company's various platforms.

A similar new Microsoft product that is now in private preview is the Bing for Business search feature. For example, before your meeting starts Office 365 will provide information from LinkedIn.

HP Inc. and Lenovo will join Surface in supporting Windows AutoPilot by providing device IDs to companies on select orders beginning January 2018.

Teams is being positioned by Microsoft to work as a hub inside Office 365. You can't find the information in any particular place. A quantum computer uses the quantum state of atoms or molecules, like superposition and entanglement, to perform data operations. "That's what we're doing with Dynamics 365". Alongside of that, the company is promising deeper integration between Yammer and SharePoint. The others are artificial intelligence, where Microsoft like rivals has begun investing heavily, and augmented reality, where Microsoft is developing the HoloLens headset. SQL Server is the first born-in-the-cloud database that is also available on-premises.

This new compute optimized performance tier also scales further than previously, with up to 30,000 compute Data Warehouse Units. The preview will be available in the fall. What developers will soon be able to do, though, is run Microsoft's simulator on their own machines (those machines need to be rather powerful, though).

Microsoft is also adding new intelligent capabilities to Excel, such as the ability to understand more data types and "augment your data based on public data sources".

Azure CosmosDB and Azure Functions integration.

According to the book, Ballmer held an informal poll among his most senior executives: Should he move ahead with an acquisition of Nokia? "With the addition of support for Microsoft Teams, organizations can ensure smooth migration or deployment".

ProLiant also takes advantage of HPE OneView, an infrastructure management dashboard, to manage software updates and monitor system status.
