Iranian president defends nuclear deal
The US President made the remarks at a White House photo opportunity, following a meeting with military leaders. As they posed for a group photo, Trump asked reporters: "You guys know what this represents?"
"After the Paris climate decision", in which Trump withdrew the United States from a widely supported, painfully negotiated accord, "this could push multilateralism to the breaking point", said a senior official from one of the three European signatories to the Iran deal.
"Many people said the USA hasn't the slightest interest in a war absent a provocation from the North", he said. Instead, administration officials believe the threat of new sanctions or military strikes would be used as leverage, according to those familiar with their plans.
Contrary to the Trump administration's statements, the nuclear deal with Iran is working.
Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had said previously that Iran was complying with its obligations under the nuclear deal, but had increased its activity in other areas. "You'll be hearing about Iran very shortly", he said before meeting with military leaders. However, that will only be possible if the United States is seen as a nation that keeps up its side of a deal.
A pundit would have just as much luck trying to discern the meaning of Trump's noxious farts as they would trying to make sense out of the nonsense that spews from his mouth.
Rep. Choung Byoung-Gug said the information was shared with him during one of his meetings with USA government officials in Washington since October 1.
The U.N. -backed nuclear deal is aimed at curbing the country's nuclear ambitions in exchange for sanctions relief. Though it has not solved - and was never meant to solve -every problem in the U.S. Today, the same mistake is being repeated with North Korea. As it did with Iran, the United States must change paths and replace its policy of sanctions and pressure with pragmatic diplomacy. It adds that the Iranian regime also "fails to cooperate with the United States Government in identifying security risk".
The Iran Deal is in danger. Iran wanted sanctions lifted and its NPT right to uranium enrichment recognized.
"In North Korea, our goal is denuclearisation".
But in celebrating the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) they sent a strong message about the world's concerns about nuclear escalation.
Tensions are also high between the USA and North Korea.
